A-Cat-Emy Awards & Red Carpet

Sprague's Annual A-Cat-Emy* Awards is a beloved tradition which celebrates students' love of reading.

Every spring, Sprague kids cast votes for their favorite books to be honored at a school-wide assembly. Students and staff are encouraged to dress up like celebrities.

They'll walk our famous red carpet, where "mamarazzi and paparazzi" line up to snap photos of their favorite reading celebrities en route to the Awards Ceremony.

Students are selected to present the finalists for their grade to the entire school, and they all love to see their favorite books on the big screen as the winners are announced.

This is a Sprague family favorite that you won't want to miss!

*Wondering about the strange name?!? The awards were originally named for Dr. Seuss's The Cat in the Hat. The event is also sometimes referred to as Sprague's Academy Awards.
